Last week, we were fortunate enough to have lots of social hang out time with some good friends.  One night, we went over to Tyler (Nick's brother) & Robyn's house and had a delicious meal prepared by Robyn (with steaks cooked by Tyler) and played Phase 10.  We had a blast with them and Caleb was so happy to see his aunt and uncle.

Two nights later, we braved the snowstorm and ice and headed to Bentonville to meet our good friends Caleb and Amber.  They are expecting a baby at the end of March.  They're having a boy and naming him Emerson Paul (isn't that cute?).  He and Caleb (we call ours little Caleb when we hang out with them) are going to be best friends.  We decided for them.  haha!  We met at Village Inn and drank warm coffee and had a great time visiting!

A few nights after that we had our friends Luke & Ellen over to play games and have dessert.  We had a delicious key lime pie that Ellen made (it was my first one and it was so good!) and they taught us Settlers of Catan.  After they left, Nick said we needed to buy that game to have our own copy because we liked it so much!!  And we also played a card game called Fruit Salad.  Ellen won both games.  Kicked our butts.  :)  We had a lots of fun and are looking forward to doing it again sometime!

About a week after that, my friend Amber got engaged!!!  Our friend (and my former college roommate) Emily :) came down from Wichita for it and our other friend Jenny came down from Chicago for it!!  We had such a great time re-connecting after college and getting the girls together again.  We were missing a few, but it was fun to hang out with these girls!!!  Amber and Antony are planning to get married July 10 around Kansas City.  We are so excited for them and look forward to the big day!

We are so blessed to have such wonderful friends in our lives!  We wish we could see them more, but we sure enjoy the times we do get to spend together!

  1. I love that you have a blog! I am so happy for you Val. Caleb is wonderfully handsome. He is very lucky to have a mommy like you! I can't wait to keep reading your blog. Oh and I love the bedding choice.
