We stayed with Mamaw in Springfield, MO this weekend and most of our activities were in Branson. We had so much fun spending time with family and truly are grateful for each and every part of our family.
Saturday afternoon was the 50th anniversary celebration. Here is the beautiful couple:
(and don't you just LOVE that cake?!)
These were some other cute lovebirds... (Nick's cousin Kayce and her "friend"...)
There was lots of good singing had by the Braschler family and so many nice words spoken about Grandma and Grandpa.
After the party, we headed to Golden Corral with all the family and friends (probably about 50 people). Grandma B. has 2 brothers and 1 sister from Minnesota who were there with their spouses and we even got a special visit from Barbara Fairchild (who is a good friend of the Braschlers). Caleb enjoyed getting lots of attention and table food all weekend. :) Poor kid isn't spoiled at all.....
Sunday morning we went to the church where Todd & Claudia were married and where Nick's Papaw served as the minister and Todd was the music minister. That afternoon, we headed to Branson to watch Todd compete in the 3rd Annual Gospel Sing-off at the Sight & Sound Theater. Wow, he did an amazing job that brought me (and most of the audience members) to tears singing "O What a Savior" and "I Bowed on My Knees and Cried Holy" and was the only contestant to get a standing ovation. He placed 2nd in the competition and we enjoyed watching all the other acts as well.
That evening, we headed to Lambert's (home of the throwed rolls) with my family and ate more food than I'd like to admit to. Nick and Dad had to prove their "roosterhood" by actually finishing the Rooster-sized (16 oz.) chicken fried steak meal. And I have to say they did it. They are officially "roosters".
Apparently I don't know how to rotate these pictures...
There's the big ol' rooster sized country fried steak.
Dad's last bite!
Happy plate (or skillet...).
Nick's last bite!
Another happy skillet. :)
Monday we got to sleep in a little and the boys headed out to fish and Claudia, Mamaw, Caleb and I were going to head down to the Branson Landing outdoor shopping mall, but missed a turn so we decided to go to the theater where Grandma B. works and where the Braschler Music Show used to perform and hang out with her for a little bit. Then, we met the boys and my family at the White River Fish House at the Landing. It is a beautiful and very fun restaurant! It was a rare moment because Caleb had all of his grandparents and all of his surviving great grandparents in one spot! There were definitely some pictures taken.

With his "greats" and "grands".

The whole gang!
Outside, Caleb, Jake and I blew bubbles and enjoyed the beautiful weather! After this, we headed back to Mamaw's, packed up and headed home. What a great weekend!!!
We also celebrated my dad's 50th birthday, what a great 50 years it has been!!!!
